Welcome to Compassionate Therapies home on the web! You will find information about my massage and educational services as well as links to resources for caregivers and providers regarding oncology massage.
As a massage therapist, I specialize in working with those living with cancer, chronic illness or stress, and those in need of end of life care. I am called to practice massage because we all need time to reconnect with our self and our ability to heal. Our time is precious on this earth, and far too often we don’t take the time we need to rest. Massage can offer that time. My approach in massage is integrative; my intention is to provide restorative, therapeutic bodywork that supports your overall healing.
As an educator and member of the Oncology Massage Education Associates, I am pleased to offer “Massage for People Living with Cancer©”; a foundation class in oncology massage developed by Gayle MacDonald. I am honored to work with Gayle, my associates, clients, and practitioners in our classes who learn skills that strengthen their confidence in working with cancer clients.
For me personally, life inspires and awakens transformation. My work is about helping others connect with their own process of change; whether it is massage for stress relief, to heal from an injury, or manage a chronic illness. For some it may be to connect with a new way of being as they journey through a cancer experience. For others it may be to learn a new skill set. My purpose is to serve; to teach; and to walk with those who are called into a new way of living.
